  • 2 pieces chicken leg fillet, boneless

Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Chicken:
Marinate the chicken fillets for at least 30 minutes. In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, paprika, minced garlic, and optional lemon juice for brightness. Coat the chicken thoroughly in the seasoning.

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat with a teaspoon of oil or butter. Cook the fillets for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp of 165°F or 74°C). Adjust heat to prevent burning.

Step 2: Toast the Buns:
While the chicken cooks, butter the insides of your burger buns. Toast them cut-side down in a heated pan for 1–2 minutes until golden and slightly crisp. This adds a nice crunch and prevents sogginess.

Step 3: Assemble the Burger:
Spread peri peri thousand island sauce on the bottom bun for a spicy, tangy base. Add lettuce, a tomato slice, and a few onion rings. Place one grilled chicken fillet on the veggies, followed by a slice of cheddar. The heat will slightly melt the cheese.
