Back in the 15th century, Portuguese settlers in Africa came across a peculiar ingredient- a bird’s eye chilli. Five hundred years later, many variants of spicy compositions using this ingredient has been created, the most celebrated of which is the Peri Peri spice. We infuse a meaty chicken patty with peri peri spice, and place it it between two butter toasted buns, among a bed of lettuce and ranch spread.
